Lemon Masala Tea

1cup water

1 teaspoon masala chai blend (Mons flavors)

1 teaspoon tea leaves or sachet (of your choice)

1 inch ginger (peeled and crushed)

1 teaspoon honey

1/2 lemon (squeezed)

Masala Lemon Tea is so easy and refreshing tea to make, every morning most of us start our day with a cup of our favorite brewed tea. It is almost like a ritual that needs to be followed religiously. We all like to change our taste buds now and then when it comes to our daily routine. Having Lemon masala chai gives everyone their caffeine kick but at the same time its an instant energy booster as well. Its an excellent source of antioxidants which comes straight from freshly ground spices. Adding lemon in masala chai is like good old friend to me. Its one thing Indian people love having time to time. This tea is an excellent calorie – free alternative to your regular drinks. Adding chai masala  spices and lemon together gives this traditional drink a refreshing edge to your regular tea ritual and at the same time looks secretly after your health too.


Boil water

Add crushed ginger, chai masala, tea leaves bring it to boil.

Add lemon juice let it brew for few seconds.

Switch off heat and then add honey, stir and strain the tea into a cup and enjoy.


  • TIPS
  • This blend has black pepper and ginger already but adding crushed black pepper is also a great idea while brewing.
  • Ensure to add honey once the tea is completely brewed, adding honey to boiling water can change the enzymes, reducing its benefits. In Ayurvedic studies honey mixed in boiling is considered to be toxic , so always avoid this practice if you do so.
