Jackfruit Sandwiches with Aromatic Indian spices

Ingredients:

Jackfruit Tin – 1 ( Young green jackfruit in Brine ) rinsed ,washed and roughly pulled apart .

Oil – 2tbsp

Red onion – 1 finely chopped

Garlic ginger paste – 1tbsp

Cumin seeds- 1tsp

Salt according to your taste

Sweet chilli sauce – 2tbsp

Kashmiri red chilli powder – 1tsp

Garam masala – 1tsp ( I added ( homemade kadai spice blend )

Corriander powder – 1tsp

Coarse corriander – 1tsp

FOR FILLING
Cucumber , tomatoes, beetroot, Homemade Tamrillo Chuntey, cashew cream spread , Green lettuce , fennel leaves , Ciabatta Bread

Method:

 Rinse, drain and shred jackfruit pieces .

In a pan , add oil on a low medium heat, then add cumin seeds let them sputter, then add garlic ginger paste saute for few seconds, add onions and cook until they are pink in color.

Add salt, kadai masala / Garam masala, corriander powder, coarse corriander, red chilli powder and mix well until they leave a lovely aroma . Then add sweet chilli sauce for tangy taste . Mix well cook for few minutes with lid on top . Add corriander leaves once its done.

Layer everything in your sandwich according to your own choice and enjoy .
