Chai Masala Popsicles

1 1/2 Cup water

1 Tea bag or 1teaspoon loose leaves

1 Teaspoon lemon juice

2 1/2Teaspoon Chai masala blend

1 Cup almond milk

1/3 Cup coconut milk

3 Tablespoon chai honey

My mornings are incomplete without a sip of gently streaming cup of masala chai religiously made by my hubby from last 25 years. I am definitely addicted to him and my chai masala for sure. This recipe is a summer make over to my favorite drink and its also a recipe which is super easy to make, loaded with nutrients coming from my very own creation chai masala spice blend and from super rich almond milk. If you love drinking chai and the values what comes along with these spices then this recipe is what you might want to try and who doesn’t like a change from a normal routine of a hot cup a tea to making a frozen treat on a hot summer day. I am sure this will be a tasty treat and a game changer recipe for few !!


In a pan on a low medium heat add water, tea bag, 11/2 teaspoon of  chai masala and brew it until you get nice aroma and a beautiful mild color from tea add lemon juice to it

Once done remove from heat take the tea bag out, add maple syrup or honey give a good mix and leave aside until it cools down

Once the temperature gets to the stage of being Luke warm, pour it into the popsicle mold and freeze it for 30-35 minutes

Mean while in another pan add almond milk, remaining chai masala blend, coconut milk, Wisk it on low medium heat until you get beautiful aroma coming through

Once the flavors starts coming through, switch off the heat and then add chai honey

Wisk again and let it cool down

Bring out the previous filled molds and pour almond mixture on top of the half frozen tea mixture insert sticks in the center

Freeze it again for 5,6 hours or overnight

When ready to serve, run the popsicle molds under Luke warm water to loosen the popsicles

  • You can use Jaggery instead of maple syrup or honey, its easily available at any Indian store
  • If you don’t want to add tea leaves to this recipe you can opt out and make it with just almond milk but make sure not to add lemon juice to this recipe then.
