Ingredients:

Potatoes- 3 (medium size)

Red onion – 1/2 finely chopped

Spinach- 1/2 cup

RICE flour- 1/2 cup

Red chilli powder (Kashmiri) – 1tsp

Salt as to your taste

Nuts and seeds – 1/4 cup of your choice

Mango powder- 1tsp

A super simple recipe which you can make for your loved ones. Aloo Tikki (Mashed Potato Burger Patties) are so easy to make, using whatever you have in your pantry, and does not require too many Indian herbs and spices. You can have them as snacks or use them as burger patties the choice is yours.

Method:

Once the mixture is ready mould into mini or medium patties as your preference.  Heat up the skillet with oil and shallow fry the patties.

Wash, boil potatoes, peel and mash while still warm. Add green chillies, coriander leaves, rock salt, asafoetida and red chilli powder to the mashed potatoes and mix well.

Divide into ten to twelve portions. Shape them into round tikkis. Heat a tawa or skillet and shallow fry the tikis on both sides with ghee till golden.

Drain onto an absorbent paper. Serve with green chutney or lemon pickle.
